Pakistan not to tolerate any aggression against its soil: Politician

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Qazi Hussain Ahmad said that all political parties of Pakistan have come to a consensus to deal with security and foreign policy issues.

'The conference was successful,' he added.

The all-party conference resolved to lay stress on peace and negotiations, instead of military operation, while the military leadership, including the ISI chief Lt General Shuja Pasha, reportedly rubbished the allegations levelled recently by some top US officials.

A 13-point resolution adopted by the conference said Pakistan must initiate dialogue with a view to negotiating 'peace with our own people in the tribal areas' and should put in place a proper mechanism for this.

The resolution, signed by leaders of all political parties attending the conference did not make any direct reference to the US pressure on Pakistan to take military action against the Haqqani network.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad expressing his views said that there is a clear change in Pakistan’s policy against US.

He said the entire political leadership of the country had decided to give peace a chance in the region.

The political leader was of the view that US is leveling allegations on Pakistan to avenge its defeat in Afghanistan.

He added that Pakistan through the conference has told the US that it will not accept dictation from any country regarding its foreign policy.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad stated that all-party conference would also help in resolving the differences among the Pakistani political parties.

He said that that resolution adopted by the APC would be brought before the parliament.

The politician strongly rejected the US allegations against Pakistan army saying that US is just putting the blame of its defeat on Pakistan.

He added that US wants to attack all those countries which are against its aggressive policies and Pakistan is one of them.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani who had convened the conference has made it clear that Pakistan was in no position to accept the 'do more' dictation. He said: 'Our national interest must be respected and honored. And Pakistan cannot be pressured to do more.'
